I don't think I call myself totally newbie to PPC, I've tried it but it seems to require a lot of money if not done properly

I'm going to try again, but I have to know first if PPC is good to drive fast traffic.

I have a budget to play with, anyone knows of a good newbie course or sumting for those who wanna start doing PPC??

Thanks!

J

Search Engine Marketing On A Small Budget (Part 1 – PPC) | Search Marketing Standard

If you do your research and come up with the correct "targeted" keywords it's one of the fastest ways to get traffic to a site.

I'd seek free methods like SEO, articles etc. and when I've made enough money, I'd move to PPC. Meanwhile, it won't hurt to learn PPC. Use promotional credits.

There is a ton of good information on PPC here and even just on the AdWords documentation. Assuming you've got pretty good landing pages and ads, it's mostly about setting up tracking.

The thing that will screw you as a newbie is that you need a pretty big budget to collect all the data you need for a campaign.

Do you already have an account? If not, make sure and get a free $50 - $100 voucher. That way you can experiment with it and when you've lost $100 (which you will), it won't hurt so bad xD. It's what I did, and taught me more than any ebook I've ever read.

I tried and tried and tried with PPC and always end up losing, obviously I was doing it wrong and I'm amazed at those that bank hard from it. I'm all about the SEO, it works it just takes alot of patience.

PPC is only profitable if you take the time to research keywords that are highly targeted to your offer... I started off by using the 100$ voucher from the hostgator web hosting account I got and managed to get some profits from it but i found ppc to be kinda stupid... i enjoy SEO much more

NO. PPC is not newbie friendly. You will spend A LOT to become proficient at it. But you need experience in it because its invaluable. You can read up all you want on PPC and thats a good thing but you still have to run your own campaigns and that means spending money. If you dont know what youre doing, you will spend a lot of it. But not all PPC networks are created equal. Google Adwords is the worse place to start in my opinion. Facebook PPC is one of the best and easiest. So if you must do PPC, start there with your research.

I haven't tried PPC myself, just article directories. I found it takes hours to upload an article to decent directories. I suppose using an automatic submission tool would be better but only if you're submitting to good directories. Does anyone here know if the auto-submission software sends your articles to high PR sites or mainly to low PR sites? I'd like to try PPC next.

That depends if its free or paid. Most free ones send to low quality type of directories and maybe a few high quality ones but there are good paid submission ones out there too that are fairly good priced. Look at the packages from Seoster.com and sites like that. All you really need is a few good sources to upload to anyway. I use only like 3-5 sources that I manually upload to and thats it. But if I want to blast out some more just for good measure, then I will just outsource it to Seoster after that.

No need PPC just looking for more traffic..do backlink & SEO..keyword also important...PPC need a lot of money..if you willing to spent it just do it...
