Is there any way to restore deleted Apache log files?

Apache on one of our servers (running Redhat EL 4) was configured to automatically delete log files every month .

Is there any way for me to restore the log files for the previous 3-4 month or are they completely gone?

How about if I was dumb enough to not backup the logs? (only backed up the database and data directories) .

Then I would say no. Not any easy way.

You might be able to get something out of shipping the harddrive to a data-recovery specialist. But when the log file was deleted, the physical placement of the data on the drive was opened for overwriting. New data might be written where the data you want used to be.
