Landing page in subDomain or subDirectory

I have a ppc landing page with one outgoing link to the home page of the parent site providing some quality score juice. Is a sub domain gauged as being less of a part of the site , quality score wise? (It looks a lot cooler in the display url of G - :repuke: - G - L - E )

Well do you think somegayblog.wordpress.com is seen as being part of wordpress.com for quality score?

I'm dealing with my own domain so the options more like
stopBiting.dogtraining.com or dogtraining.com/stopBiting

Again my issue, linking from stopBiting page to the main dogtraining.com site so adsense quality scoring sees content, do ya think the quality score of subdomain or subdirectory would be the same?
