Hi all, I have a question in regards to landing pages.

Currently I am looking for a new product to affiliate with but whenever I attempt to apply the form I'm filling out asks me to sign up and include my website.

Does this mean I have to create and host my landing page prior to making my application to affiliate with the network? What happens if I pay for hosting and spend the time making my landing page etc and they simply say no?

I don't understand this...

Check out the nickycakes guide. He talks about this.

Basically, you should (at a minimum) register a domain, get some cheap hosting, and put together a quick one-page site. No need to build a specific landing page ahead of time.

You could also skip the website and tell the network that you "go direct" (i.e. that you send traffic directly to the offer). Haven't tried this, but have heard it's work for some folks.

years ago when i promoted stuff off places like CJ etc where it submitted/wanted a URL to show for approval, i set up a page on my domain (say mymarketingcompany.com/affiliate).

the page was an open letter to affiliate managers. you're at this page because i'm interested in, or am currently promoting your program via pay per click. if you have any questions, please contact me.

provided my cell and email.. very few (out of 100s of programs) contacted me, and i was rarely denied.
