Do you guys build your own Landing pages or freelance them?

or you can just 'borrow' someone elses.

Say, I want to push a certain ad, do I build a complete site around this one ad/product?

I am still very wet behind the ears when it comes to anything other than building pages for YPN / Adsense.

It depends. Generally... it's just a single page that is "preselling" the product of offer. Sometimes landing pages are mini-sites though, just like you said... 5 pages or so, testimonials, details, general information, blah blah blah all based on whatever offer you're pushing.

Say I want to jump on an ad from , say BMG which has a lead type payout. Would it be worth me building a site around an ad like this or would I be better off pushing the ads on content website that some of the visitors may have interest in such a service.

It seems to me that it would be pretty tough getting a mini site to place well enought to make any real money off of it.

Typically when you hear the term "landing page", they are referring to a page designed for PPC traffic. So if you build a content site, that's not a landing page. As for which converts better... build both and find out. You're not going to find all the answers in a forum, as with anything else... experience is the best teacher.

Theres no doubt about that, you can apply that to anything in life! Experience is always the best teacher. Im just trying to get a better understanding of the subject at hand.
