It depends. Generally... it's just a single page that is "preselling" the product of offer. Typically when you hear the term "landing page", they are referring to a page designed for PPC traffic. So if you build a content site, that's not a landing page. As for which converts better... build both and find out. Say I want to jump on an ad from , say BMG which has a lead type payout. Would it be worth me building a site around an ad like this or would I be better off pushing the ads on content website that some of the visitors may have interest in such a service.
It seems to me that it would be pretty tough getting a mini site to place well enought to make any real money off of it.
