How common it is to have limits on the number of conversions in one day in the affiliate program? How affiliates take it if it is some realistic number just to avoid someone gaming the system with bad conversions? Lastly, how it is perceived when the conversion notification is sent immediately but the conversion is approved (credit added to account) only after verifying identity of the purchaser by merchant team (which takes up to 24 hrs)

Hey Incentivesoft. I've done a few things - ringtones, insurance, credit cards, and lots of cost-per-sale stuff, and I never noticed a 'published' limit. The network should be able to prevent someone from gaming the system by only paying out every 7-30 days - that leaves lots of time for scrubbing.

Whenever I find any limit at all to the amount of money I can make, I walk - I just don't think it's very common. I imagine most affiliates would find it intolerable.

What you're talking about in the last part sounds fine to me, since it seems like you're scrubbing on a per-customer, per-affiliate basis, which is great for affiliates who send clean traffic. As long as you're transparent about this process I don't see a problem.
