Little problem with my sites and SEO

I run a network of sites where users get a referral link to get other users to my sites. I used to think this was excellent in serps and seo. Today I realized it is not. Google sees each referral link as a unique link. I cannot believe I did not think of it earlier.

My question is this. Is there are way to make it so that when users post and place link to my site goggle would see them all as the same link. Each one is appended at the end with a ref=12345 or whatever. I would love any ideas anyone has on the issue.

I'm not 100% sure if this would work and it would require testing but have all of your referal links point to a page which parses the data and then does a 301 perminate redirect to your main page or any sub-page you have on the site.

Bingo. Aequitas is right. 301 after you process the referral.

or use a hashmark # if possible

Ok, So there is a solution what do you mean by the hash mark thing.

If it is to late to take other measures I would do a 301 redirect and avoid the use of a hashmark.
