Looking for "in-person" marketing mentor

I'm new to internet marketing, not looking to "get rich quick", willing to do the hard work and daily hours to build, manage & optimize one or more Internet income streams.
I've gotten a good deal of printed/recorded materials for learning about Adsense (Joel Comm's disc series), and affiliate mktg. (Holly Mann's "Honest Riches" and Lanty Paul's "Auto Cash), and I know there's plenty of free info available in the forums. I can plow through all this reading, but there's so much info, tangents and directions, it quickly gets overwhelming. I would learn a lot faster from a hands-on "show-me-right-on-my-computer" mentor.
So I'm asking if anyone here knows of such a mentor that either lives in my area (Los Angeles/Ventura, CA), or provides "on-screen" mentorship from afar, or how to go about finding such a person. Obviously, I'm wiling to pay for this service, but I'm not interested in just one more book or CD course or newsletter subscription, I want to learn one-on-one from a real person who's already had real success in a variety of different IM streams. Thanks

Look up a guy called Steve Wagenheim, or perhaps a woman called Kim Standerline. Both experts making big bank online.

How much are you prepared to pay?

If it's less than $2,000 a day, then forget about it. Anybody who will take time out of their internet marketing business for less money than that is probably not successful enough to teach you something useful.

You'd be much better signing up to something like PPC Coach if you really want hand holding through.

Either that or teaming up with another newbie and speaking to each other on the phone regularly to exchange ideas and hold each other accountable etc.

You're lucky you didn't get flamed and raped here, because WF doesn't care for Joel Comm and marketing "gurus." I agree, PPC Coach would be beneficial if you're looking for a lot of guidance. There's no absolute path to success; each IM here has found his or her unique way of marketing and you have to find your own road to profitability.

If you don't want to join PPC Coach or read this forum in depth, perhaps look for a Meet Up group of affiliate marketers that may be in your area and trade notes. Whatever you decide do, it takes months of study, time, cash and the hide of an elephant. IM is not for pussies, but the payoff can be great.

Good luck bro.

Nothing wrong with having a marketing blog, but the very loud in your face blogs like Joel Comm tend to set off people's BS meters. The people making serious bank aren't doing it by selling their "secret" methods.

try doing google searches for things like

"best advice" site:wickedfire.com
"great idea" site:wickedfire.com
"started making money" site:wickedfire.com

There are some great finds on this forum that you don't have to pay a cent for.

sorry, but you are not going to find an in person mentor without spending a fortune. Do you know what the so called gurus charge per hour for phone counseling? There are no real secrets that work for everyone you have to find what works for you. Some will do phone calls or skype, etc. but they want like at least $500 per hour and up.
