I agree Market Samurai rocks but it is expensive. The great thing about it is that it can do a whole lot more than rank tracking.
I use Rank Checker - it's free, fairly accurate and you can save your history to track rankings improvements over time. HOWEVER... it runs through your browser so don't go nuts - make sure to set at least a one second delay between queries (3 or 4 if you want to be really careful). Or you can use a proxy. Either way, if you run it without delays, Google will put your IP on their shitlist.
