LSI keywords vs Main Keywords

LSI keywords are just more keywords that are related to your topic.
Shouldn't all 500 words be related to your topic?

As fat as keyword density in concerned. You should not have as much as 5 main keywords in a article and your LSI keyword shouldn't be more than your main keyword.
And the number of anchor text you will use is another thing.
My keyword density optimal keyword density is perfect keyword density at around keyword density of 58% keyword density. Don't forget keyword density to sprinkle keyword density some LSI keyword density words.
EDIT: thought this was T&C. Don't worry about the density or number of times you use a word. Go get your list of related or "LSI" terms and sprinkle them through the article where appropriate...no need to force things and make it sound silly like what I posted above.
I usually try to get my main keyword somewhere once in the first couple of sentences and once in the last couple of sentences. If it shows up elsewhere in the article writing natural-sounding prose, then great. Along with the use of related terms you should know if you have researched the niche, Google can easily figure out how to categorize your content.

A well written, relevant and engaging article should naturally have LSI within it. Do not try to manipulate as much as write good content. Though if you are not certain how to structure a page - using LSI to help you build your outline before writing may be a good idea.
