Mailing list help

Alright guys need some help.
i found a couple of downloads with over 1 billion email address's combined (yeah 1 billion i know)
so thing is i have never tried mailing lists before so 2 questions really.

1- do you think its worth giving these lists a try

2- is there a mass email programe out there i can download from somewhere.

1, no you shouldn't try, you'll go to jail.
2, there is, take a look around at dark mailer. but they're all full of trojans so probably don't touch them.
