Making $$$ With Proxy Sites?

Does anyone here make money with proxy sites? I found one Exact Match Domain with 18000 exact match searches a month, without competition at all, so i was wondering is this enough searches per month to make some money, considering the fact that i will hit spot 1 in no time . I found out that most of proxy sites are using GLYPE script which i plan to use. There are contradictory information on the net about this subject, some are saying that you really need a huge volume of traffic to make money in this niche, as server(VPS, Dedicated) costs are high. But nobody mentions how much they are paying for hosting and how much they earning. But again some proxy sites that i use are still online 2 years now.

It would be great to share your experience.

It is a grind for pennies and nickles. If you dont mind doing a lot of grunt work you can do Ok. Start with Shared Proxy host. This will run you any where from 10-30 dollars a month.
Once you start paying for your hosting start adding domains. Some with keywords some generic. Add SSL certs and there Is a script that blocks Websense and other filtering companies.
Build a list to promote your new proxies and learn how to use Geo Ip blocking to block China and the Middle East.
To make any kind of cash you will be doing a lot of grinding and will need some cash. If you want a recomened proxy host drop me a PM

One of the most stupid questions I see all day! Are you asking this half ass question just to get your gay-ego up?

But alright, you will make money whatever type of shit your targeting. Get Adsense setup then build the site and get to top 1 then put your ads to where ever dump ass fuck position you wish then Boom! Profits that you don't need to touch! You will get $50-$100 for this on passive mode.

But don't invest to much on this one. Set it up then move forward to other income sources but still a good addition to your moneis!
 
@Verbrose thanks for the answer, I see didn't formulate my question correctly, what I wanted to ask is this keyword I found with 18 000 searches enough to make some money with proxy site after paying hosting. I am not planning to build X number proxies, but just this one.

@gunn.enterprise it not about EGO, ok I didn't express my self correctly as English is not my native language. I found this keyword by chance, I see one site is exploiting it, but that’s about it and they are doing it wrong, no one is targeting that keyword, there is no competition, and with my previous SEO experience I know I will be on the first position. The reason I ask about enough searches is because I found that you need a "huge volume of traffic" to make money, but no one is saying how much traffic in numbers and how much money they make. So I was wondering is this enough, but anyway thanks for the straight answer.
 
Make sure that number is Exact searches and not broad. Figure half that traffic is Chinese and Middle east and is use less. Figure you might get 40% of the resulting traffic. So the answer is no you wont make enough. You might make 5 or 10 dollars off search engine traffic.
If you promote on the list it will add 30 or 40 dollars. Which will be pure gravy.
I am kinda stunned that there is 18k exact search term available. I spend a lot of time running the Adwords External tool and find stuff in the 1800 range but a lot of competition .
Proxies are starting to consolidate and as I said earlier you can make OK money if hustle and grind daily.
 
Verbose, yes, its exact match, people search for one very popular proxy site but they type one more keyword (name of the site they want to access) after they type name of that proxy. It's just like you said, half of the traffic is from Pakistan, India and Kuwait and the rest if USA and Europe.

proxies are good to as has more regulation from are money searches seo to more domains and popular proxy sites for profit agency try more better from times. good luck!

thats an example of how you string words togehter that you've heard to form an actual sentence, that does not mean shit.
 
You don't need to attract a huge amount of traffic to make a small amount of profit from proxies. But you'd need to learn the ins and outs of system administration on linux or hire someone to do so. You also need to figure out how to monetize your framed pages because adsense is only allowed on the index page. Dealing with abuse complaints from the ISP is a hassle too so basically the ROI won't be that great unless you can scale up to where you're dealing with multiple servers.

The proxies that you see still running are probably owned by people who learned the ropes in 2007 while riding that gravy train and are today at the point where they can administer a proxy server and script in their sleep without breaking a sweat.

But it's so easy to set up and so cheap that you might as well try it.

I ran a glype proxy site about 2 years ago, and earning was good from adsense yah its cpc wasn't good but i was getting daily clicks without much effort i bought the proxy hosting, setup-ed glype and placed adsense.

For promotion? I outsourced and hired the guy who submitting proxy website to proxy top sites that it. Earning was totally automatic.
