Saw this interesting bit of data: The Financial Services Club's Blog: Mobile Money: the Samee and Dave Show
My mobile presence sucks. I started doing mobile-optimised pages for my more popular or niche-relevant sites about three years ago, have been continually trying to find offers and partners that would seem to be hot and relevant to mobile users, had a couple of apps for iPhuck and Android built and launched, and ... I dunno. My only ROI in mobile has come from making smart calls on the business itself from an investor standpoint. After years of trying to press a footprint it's like I'm barefoot on granite. Actually, a whole lot like that, since my feet are bloody and some of the blood is splattered on the rock, so I've made a real tiny, random fucking mark on it but that's about it.
Anybody doing serious mobile business? Could we run up a sticky thread on mobile marketing and platforms? I don't mean slinging ringtones to fucktards trying to get rewards points for their Farmville accounts; I mean serious mobile business, stuff like M*PESA and phone-optimised apps that are gradually replacing PC-optimised equivalents, that kind of thing.
