Monetising from a game arcade

There are a lot of game sites out there, and getting traffic to them is pretty easy, the problem is converting those players to payers :2twocents:.

What's the best way to advertise on a games site. I have tried adsense and the CPC is terrible, I have also tried selling gaming products which didn't do well, I am experimenting with ringtone and pimple cream samples. Nothing seems to be bringing in anything but cents.

Any ideas?

Try this. Find some high paying keywords which is pretty related to an arcade site. Then write some lines of text about it and put it in your footer or somewhere on your site and then use section targeting. http://google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168

Looking into it, thanks. The footer would look pretty spammy unless i integrated it well.

have you considered smiley download offers or Zwinky download offers. They payout on a simple download, and they would appeal to this demographic.
