So I've been put in charge of a network of like 20 sites trafficking upwards of 20+ million uniques a month. The sites haven't been updated much in the last 2 years or so, and are mostly user generated video sites. A few have been banned from Google, as well as Adsense long before I inherited these sites just recently.
I'm having a hell of a time finding a decent replacement for Adsense on the SFW video sites as most premium advertisers wont touch them because they're user generated. I unfortunately come from the corporate premium advertising world, this is the first time I'm dealing with 60+ ad networks and affiliates.
Any suggestions on how to monetize user generated videos? Decent affiliates or video ad networks to work with? We have the ability to run overlays, endcaps, etc. within the videos as well as companion ads, and display ads around the videos on the sites.
The other issue is some of the sites have essentially turned into porn sites. One of the sites blew up in Japan and has a ton of adult Japanese traffic. We've had some luck with AdultFriendFinder, and a few smaller affiliates, but I'm wondering if anyone has any other adult ad network suggestions?
At this point I'm looking to simply monetize these sites not update them, or clean them up.
