I have a reseller hosting account since I do alot of web design for clients and host them. I have 1 ip address for the entire account and I have alot of my own accounts on here as well.

My question is that if I am cross linking between 30 sites and they all have the same ip address, am I hurting myself? I would think the serps would notice this and have a negative effect on what I am doing.

Thanks.

It has been talked about that it can. If I remember correctly, Jon has posted many times saying to breakup your sites. I'll give you the theory, my experience, and overall opinion.

In Theory:
Having a network of 50 sites with the same IP all linking to each other won't be as powerful in google rankings as with multiple IPs as they'll see it is related. Also, breaking up your registrar just in case can be handy.

In Practice:
I have many sites all on the same dedicated server. Sites are inter-linked. Many links are hidden (a "no-no"), yet google spiders the shit out of all my sites and new ones get indexed in a matter of hours. Some are well ranked with competitive keywords.

My opinion:
People spend far too much time trying to figure out the big G, and I think most are wrong. Instead of worrying about multiple IPs and such, worry more about content and back links.
