My $6000 "tip" for newbies

Start with "micro projects"

You don't need to mastermind a project to death before executing it. Keep your shit simple and do it. For example, I made $6000 profit from a simple 2 page website. Nothing to brag about -- since it only brings in $10 a day and it took 2 years for that 6k.

However, the good part is I just wrote some articles (yeah, on ezine) and 3-4 hours to write an opt in page, email followups and a landing page. Total time for that project: 10 hours or less.

(Also, haven't touched, monitored, or tweaked the website in years)

It's okay to be a Jew ...

Believe it or not, my 6k profit site is on a subdomain -- un-related to a niche.

Another micro project I did was uploading poker videos on youtube, then direct linking it to fulltilt poker. At $75 a pop, it it makes me around $75 to $500 a month. (Haven't touched the subdomain in a year. And the sub domain is in a unrelated niche, LOL)

Also keep your overhead low. Don't worry about hiring some Indian guy right now, invest in $10 a month for hosting, (I like hostgator), a generic domain name and get to work.

Plan, Do, Analyze

If you got an idea, just do it. Invest 3-4 hours and DO IT, then see what happens. Don't plan, analyze, then DO. Because over thinking is just mental masturbation.

When I started email marketing, I had my doubts to if it worked. But I DID IT ANYWAYS. (BTW, 21 subscribers, 3 of them buying acai berry ... sure is a fluke)

Retard Advice

Never, ever buy ebooks. Go to blackhatworld, join as a member and download all the ebooks to your heart's content. I found some useful wordpress templates and scripts from there.

I agree with everything you said. My first sites were all on blogspot, and those continue to bring me in $50-$75 a day. I posted a lot of content, but just simple shit based on good keyword research.

I stayed away from micro projects/micro sites because they sound too close to "micro penis." I wanted the long hard juicy projects but they were too massive so I never finished them off. So yeah. Thanks for the advice.

Spit my coffee. Hahahahah.

This works well for just about any method, even ecommerce. If you really want to run a branded store of your own, can start small with micro-stores non branded, to make you some money to launch the big site.

So would any one else on here suggest using blogspot. I was following a Clickbank tutorial which recommended using it. I really have no choice at this point as I won't have money for domains for a while. Do they rank pretty well. Screw it, I'm just gonna use it. I need to get started

Just joined WF and I'm loving this place already!
Awesome advice and funny shit as well =P
Thanks :D

I can definitely attest to this. Probably like most newbies here I read whatever I could to try and gain a better grasp of all this before getting into it. The more I read, really, the more confused I became. It wasn't until I decided to DO IT that I started seeing money come in and really understand how it works. You may lose money at first but the first hand knowledge and the troubleshooting skills for this area you gain are priceless.

As Amanda11 said, just do it.

*note*
While reading did make me more confused there are some helpful resources out there. I finally picked a niche and started running ads. After about a week, and losing about $100, I started seeing $10/day come in. And it (my first AFF project) has steadily stayed around there. In fact, I'm still around my 200% return ratio. For every $1 I spend now, I'm seeing $2. So again, JUST DO IT!

Great thread, Amanda11. I actually started out referring others to Adult FriendFinder. This was last March, and I still manage to pull in $50 to $100 a month from whatever my referrals were making. It's good side money to allot for domain name purchasing for other microprojects for the month.

The thing I like about microprojects is the flexibility. You can get one set up in whatever method you want, and let it go, allowing it to make money for you essentially forever. You can bounce around between venues, niches, and ideas with no problem, and just let the money roll in where it may.

The only true worry is that your affiliate link/offer will expire without warning. And even then you should receive an email from your CPA/affiliate network in time to change your lins to something similar. Either that or rape the rebills.

You are so right. I spent years learning, not doing. Last year I finally got desperate enough and fed up enough to put a project together and follow through. Of course that means I made my first money ever.
Before reading your post I was still kind of unsure if I should continue to do it the way you mentioned, but now I'm relieved to hear the subdomain route won't effect my efforts while I try to build things up.
Thanks a lot.
