Please, you're all my friends, so don't go poking round my server or sites OK? Anyway, my total daily internet income is only enough to buy a burger or two, so really, I'm not worth your while.

With that out of the way ....

I created a Google Adwords Ad Group around naturopathy 2 days ago, on the Content Network only, $0.05 / click and have not a single click through after 643 impressions.

Here is my Ad keywords (yup, only three lines -> very targeted, I think):
naturopathy
"naturopathy"
[naturopathy]

And my ad:
World of Naturopathy
What are Your Options? Read more on
Naturopathy Topics.
Healing-Training.dcbase.com

Google reports my average ad position to be about 7; that's a good thing, correct?

Do you think the Ad is a turn off? Which part of it? Do the high impressions come mainly from forums where there's a massive ad blindness? Where do you think these impressions are coming from?

Is it my keywords? Should I just dump 1000 kw instead of having only one?

Maybe I should just forget naturopathy for arbitrage purposes?

Hey guys, any help at all is appreciated - thanks in advance!

If you are getting impressions, then you need to work on your ad copy. Try selling the benefits of naturopathy.

The ad is bleh.

World of Naturopathy

Healing-Training.dcbase.com
Something like:

Naturopathy
Experience the Healing Power
Restore Your Health and Vitality
Healing-Training.dcbase.com

Your site is more like MFA, than arbitrage. :1bluewinky:

How about this

Naturopathy
who the hell cares
just click the damn ads
clickmads.com

All serious Chris22's ad is good

i think you should reduce the ad shown on your site, somewhere on the forums it was said that more ads on your site the lower the PPC.

SO if you got only 2 ads showing it will be the 2 highest paying ads for your niche....instead of having 10 ads showing, if someone clicks on your 10th ad it gonna be the 10th highest paying ad. You know what i mean jellybean!?!

i don't what im talking about im just a n00b high on some ROCKSTARs!! :338:

Chris - you rock! Thanks for the idea! I've made the change to my ad to read exactly like your recommendation.

Dan - I dont want to get banned from the Google Adsense program.

Greenvy - totally understand what you mean about reducing the number of ads.

I know my pages don't look like arbitrage generators at all, but I will get down to that as soon as I'm able to get even one visitor.

Any more ideas for ad copy that works?

When writing ads for google start with a benfit then follow up with a feature that will give them that benefit.
For example

Naturopathy
Restore Your Health and Vitality
With The Healing Power Of Naturopathy
Healing-Training.dcbase.com

that might be too long but you get the idea. Also check out http://blog.mindvalleylabs.com they have some good ppc info.

Great stuff people, please keep 'em coming!

I'm pretty familiar with the concept of benefit > call to action in ad copy for "genuine" products, but I was under the impression that the writing style would be different for ads directing visitors to arb pages.

I'll definitely try out this "traditional" method of PPC ad copy for my arb campaigns.

I suck monkey butt at writing ads, but I've been trying to write my arbi ads like I am selling a product or information. Promise them something that your ad doesn't provide, but the ads do.

You could be right I havent done any arb stuff before but I do know that writing ads in that format has increased my CTR for non arb ads.

Since it works well, I'll have some of that butt too, thanks.
