I am in the final stages of development for my new site Unbiased E-book Reviews and Certifications - eBookCertified.com

Not looking to promote it or anything, I am just looking for some feedback and/or criticism.

The purpose of the site is to allow people to post reviews on different e-books. I saw a need for the site because it seems like all the other review sites are bogus people just trying to make some money. In this way I think people can post honest and unbiased reviews so we can all get an idea on how good an e-book is before we buy it. I also thought something like this would rank pretty well in the search engines.

Thanks,
Nick

very fucking funny. So your right-menu of 'unbiased ebook reviews' goes to... a clickwank hoplink??? You sir, are a total cunt. Take your lies and bullshit back to worrierforum, where at least your sub-50 IQ won;'t get you laughed at.

I was just looking for some honest thoughts... instead you could have said "it doesn't make sense to have your links redirecting to a clickbank affiliate link". As I am not completely done with the site, changes can still be made. That is one of the reasons I made this post. I didn't know whether it would be a good idea to use aff. links or not. I obviously have 1 vote saying "no" now, thanks.

elime, why would I try to promote a site that isn't even finished and only has 3 e-books added to it? If I was looking to promote a site, why would I post it in the design/development section?

Nick

P.S. I would sit here and call you guys names so we can do it all day back and forth, but I think i'll refrain and try to revive the true purpose of this thread.

Your design is all messed up in IE6.

Oh damn, I figured there would be a problem there. I haven't done much testing in IE yet. It's my newb css skills FTW.

Thanks for the heads up!

I just thought of an interesting idea to deal with the affiliate links. What if I incorporated the ability for everyone to submit their affiliate id from clickbank and rotate the ids so everyone gets a chance at making a profit?

Dude, the worst thing you could possibly do is come on this forum and ask for an opinion about a site that has The Rich Jerk ebook displayed fairly openly.

Go to DP or The Worriers and ask them instead.

LOL it's a joke, the site isn't even opened yet man!!!! Com'on everybody... why all this rage?

Then again... the rich jerk is the only e-book I have purchased to date and I must say it wasn't that bad. It definitely had it's points. Plus for only $10 or w/e it was you can't complain.

Nickclarson, looks good. However, uou need to add a very essential section on your site. Add a free ebook download section. I guarantee you will get alot of traffic man!:D

Search around and you will know why...

good idea! That's def. something I will have to add.

and if you are going to use affiliate links CLOAK them man!

I think I'm going to cut the aff links, for now anyway. Yea though lol, I must be some sort of idiot.

Since you are from MN I'll gently remind you that WickedFire isn't really the place for the whole e-book side of affiliate marketing. I'm surprised you weren't flamed harder.

As far as the site goes, it seems well engineered, good architecture, should help bring in some organic traffic for you. Again though, nobody here does ebooks, and I don't blame them, so this definitely isn't the place for that...

thanks for clearing that up :)

The point wasn't the fact that the site was on e-books, but just to get a general critique of the site. I definitely agree e-books suck, which is one of the main reasons I set out to make this site. If you can't beat them, why not at least help people not get scammed and make some money doing it.

Thanks for your advice,

Nick
