So I need to make about ~2k as soon as possible and I've been thinking on some ways to make some quick cash. I'm a decent programmer and I can create some pretty decent automation tools, if I were to make a some simple SEO software and put it on the market, 24$ - Regular software, 57$ - PLR Rights, you can sell it with a new logo and shit. Would it be a huge failure or is there potential?

Anyone have any case studies with software?

why not split test it and see
So create two different software with different names, design, etc and sell one as a PLR and the other one as a regular?

I gotta calculate my funds to see if I would have enough for that..a lot of factors to consider, releasing on clickbank, how big of a launch I need, etc. Thaks for the idea though bro

It's all going to depend on what it an do. If you're just rehashing shit that's already out there that successfully does what you plan on doing, then you're not giving anyone a reason to buy your shit.

BUT, if you're adding something new, something that no-one else is doing, then you might have something.

What's the competitive advantage of your product?

sounds like a tough and saturated market, and like you want to make an easy low effort product.

sounds like a waste of effort, and a 5lb sack of disappointment.

Make something that WORKS and that we NEED. At least for a few months until it stops working that is. You can make some $ inbetween if you move on it.

For fast cash, forget it.

There's a shit load of SEO software on the market already that is not selling. PLus,
webmasters are cheap and want free open source stuff.

You would need to do something different and do more than just "put it on the market".

Maybe if you could find a JV partner that owns a newsletter with thousands
of loyal subscribers and you create custom software for them specifically.

Or, for example, find a pet-lovers forum and create a browser toolbar that
gives them some special pet features. lol

But, imo, you need to find that customer base, BEFORE you spend 500
hours writing code.
