My uBot review - includes free bot

Is it flexible enough to do anything a traditional scripting language can? If I'm capable of coding my own shit, is uBot still worth it?

I would say it is.

I am a programmer, and I like uBot, because I am much faster with it.
Sure, there are things it can't do, but those I can code after I get the csv written by it.

And for rapid prototyping, you can't beat it.

The point of the uBot, if you happen to be a developer already, is, is it worth your time to script everything out that you could conceivably due in a much shorter amount of time with with uBot? figure out what your opportunity cost is for the $250 dollar outlay versus how much you would give up if you put your own time into scripting the same amount of work out and not putting that time into more revenue oriented tasks.

Better than iMacros?

In terms of web automation, a definite yes!
uBot can access page elements by their position, their Id, value, etc... Making it easy to create bots that are able to function despite changes in site design or simple things like browser resizing that throw iMacros a curveball.

Interesting, I'll investigate further.

Thanks.

You can do that with uBot as well, a csv is no problem to process.

Hate to sound pesky, but I'm pretty sure I can do all of that with AutoHotKey. Is it safe to assume the time consumed scripting is much better with ubot though?

Hi there, LotsofZeroes.

The thing about uBot is that it can do much more than just accessing a website and sending a few keystrokes.

*takes deep breath* Opening a file with user names locally, using those randomly to create account names and email adresses to send to your fav social network as new users, saving the succesful attempts (as there are going to be some taken) to a local file to open later when it comes to logging in and upvoting selected diggs/reddits/whatevers as well as randomly commenting on some other fake accounts as well as creating short articles on the flogs that were created automatically on several free blog hosts *gasp* as well as social bookmarking those flogs before going on to check your stats, save them in a .csv together with the google rankings.....

That is what you can do with uBot.
