I have several domains on NameCheap among others including GoDaddy and DirectNic.
I tried to move some domains to NameCheap and they botched the transfer. The correct EPP codes were supplied twice.
But instead of notifying me of the problem they just canceled the transfer. As a result I lost the domain name which was 10 years old.
Needless to say I was pissed.
The only way I found out that the transfer failed was the name was not resolving.
So I wrote them (Because you can't call them!!!). About a dozen emails later... and almost never from the same person (Hello maybe someone there would be smart enough to coordinate messages or at least bump it to a manager?). Didn't happen. Apparently they don't actually have managers.
So with a lost domain and no refund I went to Paypal and filed a complaint to get my money back. After I filed the complaint NameCheap claimed they had issued me a "Credit". But not to PayPal which I had paid with but to their own In House Account.
What?
I told them to refund it to PayPal because I can't spend their Bullshit Pretend money and due to their shit service was moving ALL my domains.
They had all ready accused me of Fraud after about the 2nd email. So I was locked out of my account. Fraud?
It's fraud to ask for you money back? It's fraud to try and fix THEIR FUCKUP?
Pathetic.
One of their "Customer Service" reps even told me that I was going to have to pay $200 to access my account. I have a pretty large amount of domains with them... and they are all paid in full... and they are going to extort me for $200?
What a shit company.
You would think someone there would be smart enough to just take care of a problem which they created.
But if you did think that you would be giving them way too much credit.:thefinger:
