well, as general saying goes, you should wait 24-48 hours for the DNSs to fully propagate..however, in some cases, I was able to access a freshly bought domain few hours after I've changed the DNSs...
anyway, after 48 hours you can rest assured that the DNSs are propagated and everyone will be able to access your website

If it's just a DNS redirect then namecheap = minutes. If you're setting up nameservers to redirect then a couple of hours.

Can you please instruct me in short the difference between DNS redirect and setting up nameservers?
The FAQ on zensix says that I have point my domain to their name servers......I do that in namecheap control panel after I get validated and proper info from Zensix, right?

Setting up nameservers is where you register a domain specifically as a nameserver. A nameserver basically a dedicated domain that points to your servers ips. Which you don't have to do.
All you have to do is point your domain at the Zensix nameservers. Click on your domain in namecheaps backend, and then click on 'Transfer DNS to Webhost' and put the Zensix nameservers in the corresponding boxes.
Namecheap is normally ultra fast, meaning that it will update nearly instantly. On one occasion I've had to wait upwards of 2 hours but that was pretty rare.

Rage is right, You don't have to do it but I tend to set up each domain as it's own nameserver just to cut down on footprints. Then again, I do to get a bit 'noid from time to time. Whois tools also lists each site using unique nameservers as a dedicated server, I know you can trace every site on the server by IP but this has to count for something.
If you want to register the domain as a nameserver with namecheap do so by using the IP addresses given by zensix under advanced options >> nameserver registration .... you'll also have to do domain name server setup once you're finished and just point it to itself (ex: NS1.NEWDOMAIN.COM).
That or you've not set it up correctly .... check whois to see if the correct DNS is listed. Also, there are multiple servers across america (and the world) that handle DNS information for the entire internet. It's possible for a site to have resolved in New York & Texas but not Cali.
I'm assuming your on a shared hosting account right? You not only have to point your domain at their nameservers but then you have to some how tell the nameserver to point to the proper server or directory. How to do this varies by backed (like cPanel or DirectAdmin).

I've not once had to do anything with the host to make it resolve properly .. are you just talking about setting up a new or addon domain?
It will propogate anywhere in the world within an hour as long as you don't query the domain before updating the NS. If you do that it gets cached for 24-48 hours by your ISP.
