Need designer or coder to speed up graphic-heavy site

I've got a simple html site that's graphic/image heavy. Loads slow. Need someone who can come up with a simple & clever solution to speed up webpage (image) load time.

Have you considered using .htaccess to gzip every css, js, and image on your site? While you're still having about 4 server calls per file, it does compress them.
