My quick question is - how many of you 1) bother to worry about on-page SEO for your sites, and of that group, 2) how many of you have trouble doing it in a repeatable fashion?
Here's the long background: My primary job is in investing so while I've always enjoyed the idea of being a marketer I've never more than dicked around in actually doing any affiliate marketing. I'm looking for input from those of you that actually do work and make money.
Anyway, recently I've invested in and been working with a firm that is making SEO writing tools for small businesses. It's a program tied to a database so people that have no clue about SEO can pretty quickly get content up that fits with whatever google's algo is currently emphasizing. IT's a small shop, only a few people working there so they have limited resources. I mention this just to give some background on where I'm coming from.
Since I've never done this as a real business, I have no idea what type of affiliate if any would care about this type of tool. My first thought was this has become more important post the recent updates for affiliates that relied more on automation/link building in the past, but do most of you already have some homemade tool that works well enough to help make the content? Or is it just not an area of concern for you in your business at this point? I'm also guessing that most PPC-focused affiliates don't care at all, but maybe I'm wrong?
Essentially, I didn't want to recommend to these guys to take the time to do any work to get it ready for this market if no one sees a need for it.
