hey im trying to find a script that will update comment dates automatically as to keep them in yesterday's and today's date all the time.. can anyone point me in the right direction where I could find something like that.

Is this regarding a wordpress or joomla install or for some custom code you have currently on your site?

if using wp, just edit the theme.. replace
get_comment_date(blah blah) in comments.php with the date() function as suggested by matt.
