Not Close Enough to Power
First off, I'll give you the site links so that you can view the sites and provide me with some feedback. I spent my free time while I go for my Masters learning Javascript, HTML, and CSS, not Wordpress.

Anyways...

New Site HamiltonFinancials.com

So I have been advised by an SEO "Expert" who I have been in contact with for about a month and works for a Top 50 Ranked SEO Company to use Wordpress. But I have noticed that Wordpress is a blog site. I told the SEO "Expert" that since he advised me he can build the site (I have spent over 60 hours building all the pages but don't want a "blog" I want an actual site) by the time that my next payment is due or I will discontinue his services at the end of the month.

The question is, stick with the original site or switch to Wordpress. I do not want a "Blog" I want an actual site and am formidable at both code and SEO. My site gets about 6,000 Visitors and 40,000 Page Views Per Month and I have many top ranked keywords which all have, well I have 3,000 Organic Google Indexed Backlinks that I do not want to lose (2,300 to my homepage), and you cannot make custom links in Wordpress you can only make permalinks. I would not mind having a blog but I want a static homepage, I know how to build a static homepage in Wordpress but it disregards the homepage template when you make the homepage a sticky page, and I want to keep the look and feel of my site consistent.

The thing is that although I know some code I do NOT know PHP or Javascript, or even Java and I would like to build a Forum to start and then afterwards create an Exclusive Social Network where Business Intellects can exchange connections, it's a small niche but I believe that I could acquire the "exclusive" niche that Google Plus acquired before it went public, just make the site a permanently exclusive site for business intellects.

I have a Bachelors in Finance and Economics and am going for a Masters in Finance to which I am about 30 credits from getting so I know how to manage money, the project is a low cost project but I believe in creating "Consistent Revenue Streams" that of which the type of site I would be able to manage when I get a job as a Financial Analyst, Bank Manager, etc. next Winter, and I am working a paid internship this summer to build a portfolio for myself.

I really don't want to brag, I'm more looking for advice I'm just noting that I could make $40 or $50,000 now with my Bachelors but since I am going for my masters and the rents are paying I am taking on a project.

So basically, is anyone willing to get paid to teach me the Wordpress Interface, give me some advice, and so on. I am not willing to pay excessive costs but if you send me an e-mail at info@hamiltonfinancials.com (and are ORGANIC I was getting 500 visitors a day and 75,000 Pageviews Monthly with one of my former sites using Black Hat Tactics but got Blacklisted because my Rankbuilder Account got hacked and Google found out, blah, blah, blah)

Anyways, this is what needs to get done if you folks convince me to go with Wordpress, I do not have the time to ...

#1- Give me a complete overview of the Wordpress Interface, how to install things, how to take things that they only let you put on the sidebar and put them on the main page, how to create social networks and how to monitor them, etc.)
#2- Rename the 110 Pages I built

So please RSVP with advice in this forum and if you're interested in helping build the wordpress SITE and not blog to info@hamiltonfinancials.com

Not 100% that I need the help, waiting for a call tomorrow, more interested in whether I should go Wordpress or Code.

So what are your thoughts: Wordpress for a site (and not a blog site) or Stick with the Code?

Ok, your a bit all over the place with this post so to be honest I skimmed about half of it, but here is what you need to know:

Wordpress is painfully slow. If you can avoid using it then do. Using Wordpress can save a lot of time and money on creating multiple pages and it's free (that's why ppl use it) but if you are able/can afford to create them otherwise it can be a faster, better SEOed and better designed site. This "Top SEO Guy" who gave you advice sux.

If you need any help I can handle any custom design, wordpress, javascript, php, jquerey, flash, SEO and graphic design your little heart desires - just send me a pm.

Also, you shouldn't post links to your site in the open forum.

If you want to switch to Wordpress because of SEO then don't. SEO can be done with any type of site. The most important part of SEO to determine ranking is what is done off site and not on site. I would be more than happy to help you with some affordable SEO services for your website. You do not need to make this switch if your existing site is working well.

What you can also then get, is the forum and social network integration implemented, so you can direct your funds to those areas. It will cost you much more to have a 100+ page website converted to wordpress.
