Need Some Advice

I asked this question in the mailing forum, but really didn't get much of a reply. In retrospect, I'm guessing I should have asked it here.

Basically what I need to accomplish is I have a gmail account, when someone, anyone sends an email to my gmail account I need an autoresponder to automatically save that email address to a list and also send automated responses in specified intervals from my gmail address.

I realize that there are paid auto responders like aweber and such, but they do not do this as far as I can tell. Also I need this to be my gmail account and with no confirmation.

Gmail doesn't do that. You have to do it with some other hosting option like Aweber, etc.

Nah you can do it with a gmail account depending on volume... You can use the imap connections to check and send email from your gmail account. Writing something like this from scratch in php would take a couple of hours at most...

Btw I personally would avoid using gmail to send SPAM, they are bound to start cracking down sooner or later and I wouldn't want to get caught up in that mess.

can't you just use an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird & figure it out some how?? Or get a plugin?
