Anything cheap and reliable or are those qualities mutually exclusive?

I need a company that's going to be around in a year's time .
 


Hostgator, Hostican, Justhost, Bluehost, are all good for cheap/shared hosting. For dedicateds, depending on what you need, you can stick with those companys. For blackhat stuff, your going to want an offshore company like Shinjiru (which sucks. Downtime.). For that I'd promote Xsserver.
 
Without any delay you should register with hostgator only for two reasons, first they are providing services on cheap prices and second which is most important that they are providing best services among all. I have few websites registered with hostgator and I am happy with the services i am getting.
 
Hostgator, Hostican, Justhost, are all cheap. They'll shut you down for adult, gambling, and blackhat (Even blackhat SEO - if you get complaints.)

For anything besides shared hosting, try rackspace.

or hit up xsserver or inferno solutions. Downtime, but blackhat friendly. (and the downtime is reasonable.)
