If you have an offer that's doing well and the advertiser wants you to increase traffic, and asks you what you need to do this, what kind of a bump in pay percentage-wise should you ask for?

What have been your experiences?

Realistically, there is a cap on the amount you should ask for (since some margin needs to be built in to the network). However, each network varies on the cap of 'margin' that they'll be allowed to exceed, so you need to utilize your judgment to make sure you still make the campaign profitable for both parties (since no network will run at a loss). I do think it's safe to assume that most networks start at baseline 30% margin, so you can work from there - if your volume is high enough, places such as COPEAC and eAdvertising will probably give you payouts equivalent to only 5% margin (eg if they are getting $40 on an ACAI campaign, started you at $28, you can probably ask for $38). That said, all affiliate managers are paid on margin and it may be up to that specific person to determine your rate. Since the majority of the networks simply broker campaigns, you can find that deal on another network, tell them what volume you're doing (1k leads/day), as well as the payout, and leverage them accordingly.
