Well I'm checking in for a review of my shit. Hopefully since I've been around for awhile, you guys can lend a few minutes of your time and give me a proper review.

So I've been talking with SEO_Mike and Nickycakes and they've helped me tremendously even though they probably don't realize it. I really appreciate it guys, so if you ever need anything from me just let me know. But from what they've told me, I've re-shaped my concept on how I plan to make some income online.

First off, Mike helped me realize things about SEO and building websites that were so obvious I felt stupid for not knowing them in the first place. Then, one day I was bothering Nicky and asked for a little review of my site. He basically said it was shit, and why would anybody want to visit it? Why aren't I building sites about stuff I like? Well, thats what I needed to hear, so I've changed everything up.

I've currently got 3 tiers of sites up and running. Tier 3 is like a mini niche site, based around the Lexus LF-A. Link: Lexus LF-A. I plan on updating it once or twice a week or whenever there is something to update the site about. The car isn't even close to being released, so that's all there is to this site.

Tier 2 is/was basically a mini niche site, however there is a ton of stuff to write about that I could post everyday, and I try to. It's based around the Nissan GT-R. Link: Nissan GT-R

Tier 1 was just launched today, and it is a site that has information all about Japanese cars, tuning, motorsports, and OEM news. Link: FactoryJDM - Japanese Car Blog. JDM stands for Japanese domestic market, which the visitors to the site will understand.

Why are they in different tiers? Because I expect them to reach different sizes of audiences based on there potential. A site about a car that isn't even released yet won't generate as much traffic as a site that will cover a broad range of topics, and thus a lot of keywords.

So, what do you guys think of my work thus far? I don't plan on doing to much promotion work or link building, I just hope the content speaks for itself. Excuse FactoryJDM, its still being built. Custom designs are in order once the sites reach a certain amount of traffic.

I also plan on adding 1-2 more sites. I have the domain SeizedCars.org however I have no idea what to do with it, any ideas?

Basically, am I heading in the right direction? Or am I once again wasting my time? These sites cover topics I'm very passionate about, so content isn't an issue. Thank you for your time, and be as blunt as possible. Don't be a pussy and tell me I'm fucking doing a good job if I'm not, thats lame. Be honest, I can take it.

Firstly I was thinking of doing affiliate banners for auto insurance, free rate quotes, etc. Of course I'll have the normal Adsense banners. After I get some more traffic and a dedicated reader base, I thought I'd email aftermarket parts suppliers to see if they'd like to advertise at a monthly rate. Finally, phpBay will be used to try and push some merchandise.

I'm sure after running these sites for awhile I'll come up with more creative ways to monetize them, but for now thats all I got. Good plan, or is it 'just another revenue model' that ultimately won't work to well?

Second what SEO_Mike says, how are you going to monetize those ? I can tell you Adsense on something like that will be. So you'll need offers that suit the type of folks looking for pictures of those cars (since that's likely what will draw people into your blog).

Also, the bandwidth for pictures like that on your blog can easily get sucked away fast, host the pics on flickr or something and leech the bandwidth. Unless you have a clear way to recoup the hosting cost.

Edit: Just saw your last post. Good, wouldn't bother with Adsense, certainly insurance offers and penis extension pills will work well for the type of audience you will attract.

Yea, I just realized how much diskspace these pictures are starting to take up. However I have plenty of bandwidth for the time being. Lets see how things go before I start looking for a bandwidth leecher.

It seems like a decent enough looking site, I am just sick of all WordPress sites looking alike. However, normal visitors probably all go "WOW", especially young ones. Normal users probably don't come into a site and immediately notice that the layout is the same all over the world, like someone does who is into site layout.

Of course the layout can evolve and it's definitely off to a good start. Great effort.

IMHO while your scheming up ways to monetize it, also scheme up ways to make it stand out from the crowd.

I completely agree with all of your points, and I plan on implementing them. I'm just taking things 1 step at a time.
