Last week I read this:

The super secret tool essential for success: MY BRAIN

And the big secrets:
- A PLAN
- MASSIVE ACTION
- FOCUS

Last Tursday I set-up a new domain for an affiliate product, created a one page site and set about promoting it.

Results after less than one week:

1. Site was indexed in G within a few days.

2. I have 34 backlinks in Yahoo.

3. I am ranking in Google for 33 keywords, four of them are in the top 30.

OK it's not massive, but it's a start and I know I'm on the right track - I just need to do more of the stuff I'm doing.

Here are the steps I took. This is nothing earth-shattering and I'm sure this isn't news to anyone here, but it's a wash, rinse and repeat method for new sites:

1. I created a bunch of about 500 WMPU blogs using LFE. I used three new POP3 accounts and worked 100% of the time behind a proxy service.

2. I wrote two small articles very densely spun using The Best Spinner.

3. Posted the articles with LFE, with a day in between.

4. I bookmarked them to around 110 bookmarking accounts using BookMarkWhiz (not a bad product but prone to crashing and there is practically no support at the moment. I hope Koen's still alive).

5. I took all the blog urls from LFE and pumped their rss feed through feedagg.com using a Ubot script I wrote.

6. I submitted the blogs to pingomatic using a Ubot script (wmpu auto pings I think but extra pinging can't hurt).

Cheers, Wez

Nice that's the way to go...

Im gonna start using LFE next month. Looking forward to it.

quite a bit of software there. You could probly save a grand by making those tools with Ubot. My pre new years resolution is to stop spending all my money on teh softwares but good job with the progress

It's a good point. I've had mixed success with Ubot. Some bots I built have been great and just work in the background doing their job, others are a pain in the arse and need regular tinkering. So, sometimes it's just as easy to spend $$ on some software and let someone else support it.

Latest update: It's five days after my first post and I have done nothing since then because I have been on a short holiday but ...

1. Backlinks - up from 34 to 84 in Yahoo. Google still saying only 1 backlink. This can't be quite true though because ...

2. I now have 42 pages ranking in Google, including one at 17.

3. Getting a trickle of visitors.

True, its a lot easier sometimes to bite the bullet and buy software. The problem with that is that sometimes the dev of the software is alittle late to update, or chooses not to update at all. Ofcourse, I am a control freak and Id rather be the one updating the software on my end.

Two weeks in and the results are:

1. Back links are showing-up in Google Webmaster Tools - just under 1000. I am wondering if this is too much too soon and I've asked a question elsewhere about this.

2. Traffic remains very low. My site has been displayed 170 times in Google searches but I've only had 19 clicks (11%), according to the Search Queries chart. The data is three days old because the date range field doesn't let me select a closer date to today.

3. Started looking at Clickbank stats. Seven hop counts and one 'order form impression count'.

I am thinking of doing some Web2.0 posting, using content from the merchant's testimonials page. There are some free tools to manage the actual posting and I could get someone here to create the accounts ...

Was editing but it timed out:

4. Number of Yahoo links went down to 74.

5. Keywords ranking in G down from 44 to 37, top one is at 11, and the next at 15.

Congrats on taking action, but I think your drops are caused from too much too soon with your links though.

dont fret, just start over on another domain but take your time.

a 2 week old site with just under 1000 backlink in google wmt.. does not look natural unless you got some links from places like digg and reddit and a few other high traffic sites.

should have started out with maybe 50 a week, then moved up to 100-200 a week after 2-3 months.
