Ok everybody, I'm just getting into the AM thing and it sound very lucrative. For the past week I've just been reading as much information as possible and I want to start a campaign or just doing a little advertising.

I was thinking about basing it on free credit reports. I searched Google trends for those keywords and traffic seems to be holding steady so I figure it might do well. As far as my source of traffic though, I don't have a lot of capital and was thinking of creating an ad on craigslist with a direct link to the advertiser's page. What do you guys think about advertising on craigslist? Also is the free credit report something that is doing well right now? I know there are a lot better sources of traffic, but I don't have much web design experience and am just looking to generate a little bit of income $50-100/day to start and build up from there. Thanks in advance for all your advice and help.

Wow, I thought this was the place where I could:

Excuse me for being in the wrong place. I guess that link was where I'm supposed to post my Newb question. I hope your not as immature in real life as you are online.

Congratulations on your literate and diplomatic answer after getting dickrolled.

Landing pages convert better than direct linking. You don't need to make the landing pages on your own, you can buy or steal them.

If you think you'll have success with Craigslist, try it, but don't limit yourself to that. Do some PPC and compare the results.

Remember, $50-$100 to start is nice - but you need to make that first $1 first!

I personally stay away from the CraigsList stuff. Yea it's free traffic but it's tough and for me, undesirable.

As bullet-ride mentioned, get some LPs made for you (designers here are very affordable). Throw together some content/articles to throw on a blog and search for some Google/MSN/Yahoo coupons to run some PPC campaigns for free before you dive into anything major.

Ok, so your approach is going after free traffic - ie. craigslist. Then why stop there? Try kijiji or other free online classifieds.
Also, I don't think that direct linking will get approved by most free classifieds.

People No Dick Rolling in the Newb Section. We want to encourage people doing the right thing, as opposed to the existing influx flood of DP retards, who are posting inappropriately
