Hai all!

I've been reading up on all this affiliate marketing shit and have found a nice niche to dominate, one I have enormous knowledge on. Looking at the first page of results on Google for the keyword they all look like very easy competition. The keyword has 3000 exact daily searches on Google and just over 1000 on Yahoo. Two of the top ranking sites have the same keyword in there website URL, one a .com and the other a .net. What would the best domain be to go with, I imagine a .co.uk seeing as the target Audience would largely be in the UK?

If your niche is geo based (UK targeted), a .co.uk exact match domain would work well. Given that the .com and .net were taken already.

Get a .com/net/org unless you want to specifically target people in the UK.

Question is, how much of that traffic will perform the action that you'd like them to?

90,000 UV per month doesn't sound so good if only 0.1% of them (ie. 3 visitors per day) will ever click-through or convert. This might be why competition is low.

Go ahead and test it, but don't be too disappointed if visitors don't respond in the way you're hoping.

Low competition often (but not necessarily) indicates a low-converting or low ROI keyword.

If this is one of your first sites, it is probably worth it. The lessons learned will repay you for years, though likely on other websites.

Best suggestion you can get!

If this is not your first site then get the fuck out.
If this is your first one go grab it. It will make you feel better and you will have more boost in getting more and more sites in the future than targeting something that you cannot conquer.

Happened to me last 2008 that's why I quit IM for a year and a half.
I targeted the diet loss niche as my first <-- stupidity lol!

^ Yeah that's right, you will never know what kind of competition you can beat until you have a site out there and do all kind of shit to your site...

For my first site, I wasn't even confident I could reach the first page and I just did it anyway.. and now I have a slight idea of what kind of competition is within my reach using the same methods with my first site
