I found this odd. I started up a new site for some other stuff. I haven't created any backlinks to it yet. But I did put google analytics on it and adsense even though the site is not ready for prime-time.

I noticed yesterday that some of the pages are already indexed in google. I thought this was strange.

Google wants their money bitch! Bring them the trafficz! And just maybe they will give you a cut.

Haha, that post made laugh. Common. Knowledge.

Well from my experience, the fastest way to get indexed by google is by putting up a single article on Digg.com and and BANG your website should be indexed within 3-7 days.
This process should take half a day max.

I have personally done this for over 30 of my client websites and I have charged them over $200 USD for this. ( To just get indexed on Google.)
Brilliant way to scam dumbasses. 200$ for a digg submission?

What are some better ways? (writing an article on it)

Do you mean getting your overall homepage indexed, and begin getting the website crawled? As opposed to trying to get as many pages as possible indexed.

Well if you do, off the top of my head, here's a bunch of basic stuff:
-Submit to QUIT or SQUIRT and wait a few hours (easiest).
-Submit to digg, reddit, propeller, and other social bookmarking places that are frequently crawled.
-If it's a blog, ping, ping ping
-Spam frequently crawled and popular blogs
-Be creative, millions of websites on the internet that get crawled everyday, surely you can plug your link into some of them.

Don't really see how getting your domain indexed could be hard, google will do it eventually if you don't. What is a problem is getting a 100,000 page website fully indexed, so you get 100,000 pages to link from.

lol what?

this isn't true. Having a backlink can get you indexed, wtf are you spouting?

I never said anything about backlinks not helping a site get indexed. The original poster was surprised that his site was indexed without any backlinks. What I was saying is you don't need any backlinks to get a site indexed in Google (of course backlinks speed up the process)

You can submit your sitemap to the google webmaster site and it will be informed to crawl your site for indexing -- without having any existing backlinks.
