I am a self proclaimed noob to affiliate marketing, however I have been working hard to learn. I have gathered affiliates and decided to develop a site that offers credit cards. I have also signed up for Google and Yahoo for their ppc marketing with no success because of the competition in the credit card market. Two questions:

1.) What should I do/learn to increase traffic and conversions to my credit card site. I am willing to learn.

2.) What is a good service for keywords for yahoo and google?

Thank you and any help would be SERIOUSLY appreciated. Once again, I am a noob wanting to learn from the pros.

Suggestion

First of all I would suggest you back off of credit cards. Especially if your using ppc as the main way to drive traffic. But if you must I would suggest going the seo route credit card ppc marketing has a very expensive learning curve. By getting your site traction under long tail keywords on the big three should earn you a little income while you are cutting your teeth with ppc. If you are serious pm me and I will try to help you as much as I can. As far as a keyword tool check these guys out.

I think the first rule is this: stay very very very away from spam. You're most important weapon is your credibility, so don't dare to lose that.

To increase traffic start by having a website and getting in touch with bloggers —for example— who might mention you on their blogs.

OK, there you have one tip. Good luck.

Content is king. My credit card site is on Blog spot. Its set up and updates frequently. I'm only using it and concentrated only on one keyword and makes about $5 per day to me via adsense. Its a tough niche for starters and I would suggest you setup your site as a WP Blog and set it up for automatic updation. And concentrate on Ranking it for the keywords and driving traffic via PPC.
