Hi there. Not been on here for a while. Unfortunately i am still a n00b!! Well i see it that way anyway. I have spent the last couple of months doing a few freelance web dev jobs. Wordpress and php and the like. I remember last time i was here somebody said that i lacked direction. I think this is still true. One minute i am gonna do ppc then i change my mind... i have dozens of half finished sites lying on my server!! So... ive not quite cracked freelancing as a dev yet but im getting there. What i mean is i went in cheap to get the work / experience and ended up flogging myself for a pittance. On the plus side.. i do have an OK portfolio now so one option is to push that with some increased prices. I have a pofrtfolio site... (again.. half done!)

Just to be clear, i have a full time job and i AM commiting as much time to the interwebz as possible. I'm not here moaning about not doing anything... i just cant seem to focus on one thing.

So i did that web dev work and i have a few more low(ish) paying jobs coming up that i got through friends etc... Will see how that goes. Dont expect to retire opff it anytime soon tho!! Ive been messing about with some SEO 'test' sites with mixed results. I can get sites indexed etc for low level terms but am kind of hitting a brick wall with that when it comes to linkbuilding etc. I am shying away from all these 'big boys toys' like xrumer etc as with me starting off low end, i see little value in mass spamming. I guess i just need to man up and start trying everything.

Anyway... i THINK i am going down the 'small business websites with a bit of SEO' route for now. At least that seems to be where i can get money, i just need to get to a level where i can charge more.

i have roughly $500 to play with, all left over from my ventures. I got a chance to use market samurai and i really liked it. So i am thinking i will need that and it would be a good investment. Then i am thinking about getting 'thebestspinner'.. not sure about that. I havent really seen any mind blowing results from article marketing myself. Other than that i really like the look of Ubot studio. I am more dev than design minded so i am sure i could think of something to do with that.

THEN... with all that in place i think i could up my game a bit... do some test stuff like niche blogs or something then once i find my feet maybe come up with some package for BST etc that could help me get my $$ back.

thoughts and comments appreciated!! p's!!

:D

you seem dev minded, I would lean towards botting (uBot is a good start) and just building your own tools. Definitely cost effective, plus you learn more, plus you can make tools for techniques people haven't discovered yet :)

Thanks. Seems like u bot is the way forward for me. I am sure i must be able to make something usefull. I am creative when i want to be, i am sure i can come up with something that works! I think i will start off with u bot and make my own 'basic' seo tools. Then if i feel the need i will upgrade to MS. The content spinner would be good to try tho.. i bet that would be a nightmare to code properly for yourself... hmm..

there are a lot of cracked copies of MS floating around, check out BHW. Save yourself the cash for now

The best spinner is great, useful for more than just creating spintax
