okay. i've advertised on bing like last year, long time ago. and back then. it was shit. volume was shit. everything was shit.

but then they bought the yahoo sponsored listing, so i had to go back to msn.

I first tried direrctlink using my p202 domain.

and it didn't get any impressions, okay...??

so i contacted their support, they say...

"redirecting URL is not allowed, you need to have a relevent Landingpage"

okay.....

so i created an LP.

you know, same old formula.

ad -> presell -> offer.

oh what now? not getting any impressions at all.

so i emailed the support again.

now this is what they sent me

This is Lorraine again, your Microsoft adCenter Support representative.

I have received your reply regarding the new landing page you created. I have taken a moment to look into this one for you. I can see why the ad is not going to show.

Unfortunately we are dealing with the same issue as before. The ad in adCenter does not work, the URL won't connect. When I take the URL and open it in a new browser, it looks innocent enough. When a customer clicks on the link to get information on how to get the supposedly "free XYZ" they are again taken to another destination asking if they want to sign up for a free product that has nothing to do with your original ad. This is a redirected URL and is not allowed.

This again, does not conform to the editorial guidelines Microsoft puts in place to protect our searchers and provide them with the best possible experience. Your ad must have a relevant landing page and subsequent pages that the customer will browse through. If the landing page is not relevant to the customers search inquiry, and therefore does not meet Microsoft editorial policy and the ad will not be displayed on Yahoo! and Bing.com paid searches.

Please use the following link to research our policies and procedures to better your knowledge of our editorial guidelines.

what the fuck am i doing wrong?

'FUCK. FUCK.

maybe off base but to clarify, is this issue as simple as her just being georedirected or you having some other form of ip range redirect in place?

It looks like you are going to have to put more effort into creating your landing page.

I think this is really something everyone in AM is going to have to do in 2011.

Instead of thinking about things in terms of landers, think in terms of creating mini sites. Sites that you not only send traffic to, but you can also seo and create lits of keyword rich content deep into the site.

No more bullshit domains. No more content less sites. Period.

Of course you can still funnel your ppc traffic with it, but there has to be more to the site than what everyone has been getting away with last decade.

If you do this all your PPC approval problems will disappear quickly.

also, you can call them. I've had to a couple times and phone support was very good.
They are alot less likely to say no to your site over email, then on the phone.

geo redirect wouldn't be the problem........

I DLed and she says, fuck off.

I created a presell page -> offer.

she says fuck off.

Bla?

Biz, split test your LP because she could be reffering about your LP not being appropriate or it just isnt making a connection to the keyword you bidding on. So pretty much your LP is the main problem why your not getting traffic.

that email sounds stupider than some of facebook's policies.

and to the comment about "quality" mini sites: fuck that shit. if we're giving the searcher what they want in the sales funnel (here being free report or w.e.), I don't see wtf Bing has to complain about.

anyways biz, I think you just got a retarded rep. Try calling like everyone else says and let us know how it goes.

Some of the information in this thread is complete BS. I have a site with 1000's of pages of unique content, etc. Excellent site, which does very well everywhere else. On AdCenter, I went from spending $XXXX/day to $XX/day. It just happened overnight. I contacted them and they can't find anything that is wrong, and recommended I raise my bids. Go fuck yourself! They are a waste of my time.

Had the same thing happen with multiple accounts. Now that I talked to their support they helped me improve my LP and have asked the approval team to look over my account once again.

Here's the stuff I had to change:
- add in depth Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
- search for disapproved KWs in my account and remove them
- use only relevant KWs

I'll see if the "approval team" will approve my campaigns now...

idk about you guys but I thought you were suppose to get an increase in traffic. I get about the fourth of the traffic it converts less and costs 20% more on average.

God I miss just regular yahoo search marketing. I still have a yahoo rep, if I ever have a problem I send him an e-mail and he usually calls within a few hours.

I see about the same traffic on MSN now as I did from the old MSN + Yahoo combined, and CPCs are around the same, as well. I haven't run into any ads being deemed low quality or whatnot, and only had some ads disapproved since the ad's fake display URL was directing to a parking page (but they still don't enforce display URL matching destination). Other "low quality" real LPs are still running without issue, and the only disapproved KWs I have are trademarks of other companies, which Yahoo and MSN have prohibited bidding on for a while (though never enforce 100%).
