Im doing some testing in the 'Grants Niche' and just wanted to know from anyone who has experience with this niche, how hard it it to get conversions.

I know most of you will probably say anything can convert because its the way you do it, but please think from a newb prospective.

Appreciate any tips.

Thanks

i know this is one of the questions where people might not share as they keep their niche info close to their chest. But i thought maybe people who didnt do to well might have some advice.

You never know eh.

LotsOfZeros, my appologies should be 'Grants' Niche and not 'Grants Niche'. You can stop searching the networks for the offer now.

I've tried a few different ways to promote those offers and traffic was small and conversions were horrible. I tried google, yahoo and contextual traffic and i couldn't get it to convert so i moved on.

Nah, just messin with ya.

I have to agree with Harry1970, I never had any success with grants. I think it's been pretty saturated in print media for years before it came online and now people liken it to a be a little scammy. After all the news reports of people getting scammed out of their 'processing' fees and never getting grants or maybe just getting a list of ways to get a grant.

It's kind of like the wholesale/dropship directory scam in a way.

Then again, someone must be making money with it somewhere.

Try college scholarships instead. Very competitive, but those suckers convert. Debt offers are doing very well too. Huge market right now that will only get bigger as more and more suckers keep buying on credit.

Could explain results of my testing. I manage to get a lot of clicks (for my budget) but finding it really hard to get them to convert. Was going to try and put some resources into testing on more landing pages, paying for professional content etc... but just needed an idea if this Niche is tough one to crack for a newbie like me.

Cheers for the responses guys.

LotsOfZeros - I know. From reading your posts i know its just a bit of fun.

I've been having a hell of a time trying to get my grants campaign to convert as well. It seems like a pretty sweet offer too w/ a video and timer and everything... still no conversions after around 500 clicks. I'm cloaking my traffic straight there from SEO right now, perhaps a lander would help with conversions a bit more but I'm moving on.

I worked with grants. Tested 4 completely different landing pages and about 10 different offers. Even direct linking to the better ones.

What I found. I could convert up to 13% with the LP but the next 2 days same offer, same bids + kw will convert at 0%.

I thought it was shaving/tracking but all offers did this very thing. I've come to the conclusion there is money in this market, but its waaaay too unstable. Other markets are rock solid. With conversions like this all over the place, its difficult to find a winner. Especially when keywords can be $1.25 - 1.50.

I've gotten them down to .51 - .61 but its still very unstable which is nerve wracking.
