Hello,
I run two Web sites in the media/entertainment industry and have been doing so for the last year and a half. At this point, I want to keep the names of the sites under wraps because otherwise I'll get hounded by tons of people who just want info to grow their own sites.
So what I'm going to do is just list a brief overview here and if you are interested and have the funds, you can contact me. At that point, I'll give you all the details you could ever want.
Site #1:
200,000+ uniques per day
800,000 - 1,000,000 page views per day
All hosted content (videos, games, animations)
40,000+ direct visitors per day (ie, people who go straight to the site to see what's new)
15,000-20,000 search engine visitors per day
The rest comes from other sites, emails, forums, etc.
Advertising expense is $0
Alexa rank is in the 3000s
Site is kept clean. No pop ups, no annoying ads. Plenty of room for further monetization
Started Sept 2005
Site #2
65,000 uniques per day
No hosted content (all links out to other sites)
10,000+ direct visitors per day
1500 search engine visitors per day
The rest comes from link trades and other things that will remain intact
Alexa rank is in the 11,000s
Unlike site #1, this site is somewhat Adult-ish....no porn, but lots of links to babe content. I would compare it to something like Maxim.
Started July 2006
Other random bits of info:
Hosting costs $3500/month
Advertising, as said, is $0/month although I did spend money in the past
Site #1 and site #2 trade about 10k uniques a day
I will of course help the new owner(s) understand how everything works completely before cutting the ties.
I am mildly interested in continuing to manage the content end for a salary.
I won't sign a non-compete although I have no plans to directly compete.
I won't accept payments of any kind, only a lump sum amount.
March is a record month for traffic so I'm definitely not selling because it's declining.
These sites are the real deal and have been great to me. Honestly, a company should be running them, not just one guy in his apartment. The work it takes to manage the content, promotion, technical side, etc is becoming really tiresome so I'd love nothing more than to sell to someone who can take it to the next level.
If you don't have or have access to at least mid $XXX,XXX, please don't contact me.
As I said at the beginning, I'm not going to just hand out info to competitors. If you are seriously interested and have the funds, please PM me with who you are and any questions.
Thank you.
