Well i have been having problems finding images that were the exact size im needing for my site. I was told not to modify images by resizing because it looks unnatural and unprofessional. My question is this Is there a way to shrink pictures without causing them to look fucked up? and Is there a tool or a thread that can teach me to use my own images but still send them to my affiliate with my code etc.
Searched around really couldn't find a answer so sorry if i missed a thread.
Thanks!

You can try decreasing the size by 10% (or less) at a time and it supposedly reduces image quality loss. I read that years ago though, so you may wanna wait for a different opinion.

You mean the image in your sig?

To reduce size without affecting quality you can crop unnecessary areas. I don't know which program you are using so can't really explain how to do it.

As far as code for the aff link in images it is just like any img link.

HTML:
<a href='http:afflinkhere.htm'><img src='http:imagelocation.gif'></a>

As long as you maintain the ratio resizing shouldn't make it look fucked up. Most image editing software (even free ones) has an option to maintain the ration when you resize. If the ratio isn't what you need, most software also has cropping functionality.

Thanks i will try that code i just didnt want to fuck it up and not get the commission is all. Appreciate it Beerhat. I use Photoshop 9 but im still pretty new at it. Ill try to use the crop on images to shrink them down

Image > Image Size
edit width, height is changed accordingly, no quality loss
you can't make them bigger than the original if you don't want them pixelated

Thats how i have been doing it and this is what happens. Ok say I have a spot on my site is 120 width <assuming thats pixels> and i find a picture i want thats 200 width. When i go thru adobe and into image > image size i see were you can change width and height. But if you change that with it will make the picture appear to be squeezed and looks abnormal. Maybe i just need to mess with crop and if i cant fit it keep searching for another image.

make sure that constrain proportions and scale styles are both checked, this will make the image keep its original proportions
