Okay - before I get dickrolled... I did search, and found most people suggestions leaning toward purchasing (Namecheap / Moniker - which can and will do reselling / Fabulous.com, etc.) But I'm posting this because I have specific wants from a domain reseller.
Background:
I'm a web designer, and I've used Expertsrs.com since 2000 when they started to purchase domain names. A few years ago they switched from whatever they were to Resellerclub as far as I can tell. It's not great, but I've had no problems with them - whois privacy included, $8.95 for .com, etc.
I setup a reseller account at PowerMonster a few months back and got the free ResellerClub domain account - price is fine, I think it went up but like $8.50 or around there. But the Supersite shit is total shit. Poor layout, difficult to work with templates, having to do all the paypal deposit and subtract the 3%, limited information and updates, it just seems really shabby IMO.
What I'm Looking For:
All-in-all I have about 40 or 50 domains scattered around, and looking to purchase about 100 this year, maybe more but not looking to drive domain reg as a profit market.
So I'm looking for a nice, easy system where I can setup my customers account, purchase domains and assign them to that account (I pay for them), and give them the ability to easily login and make changes if they want. Most of the times, I'll manage them (put my NS on them and host their sites). E-mailing details would be fine, but only if I can adjust the template (no pricing, simple instructions, etc.)
Even though I'm going to be doing the initial purchase, I want them to be able to login and purchase additional domains or renew their own domains.
I don't want it to be tied into WHMCS or any other system - I'm moving to a different Invoice system and I handle support/billing/setup manual or with my own tools.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a private label or white label reseller that does this without a bunch of fucking headaches or shoddy quality? This is one side of the industry that needs to pick up anyway - you know when GoDaddy is the "king" that quality is shit. When Network Solutions had the contract as the only registrar they were expensive, but at least they were a little higher quality. Now they've turned into the same BS upsell market. Sorry for the rant, and thanks for any recommendations!
