Hi Guys,

Apologies if the title offended anyone. But I've been looking into BST section on WF for sometime and it seems quite a lot of the services are still just the spamming type so what's changed post panda/penguin.

Also realistically if you want to rank a site and beat a competition that has over 100,000 backlinks you're not going to be manually submitting blog articles, creating youtube videos, to point back to your money site because each article will only have maximum of 4-5 links. And lets be realistic just because you post a blog article on a PR5 website it doesn't mean that the article will gain any juice because the page will be N/A in terms of PR until much much later. Even then you'll be really lucky if the blog site doesn't cycle off your article.

So exactly what are people doing differently ? if they are not spamming. and if we shouldn't spam why are so many services on WF are still spamming?

Any practical advice on ranking a site is appreciated.

Thanks

just because it says pr n/a doesn't mean it is actually n/a.

the public update you see of pr every few months is just that, a public update. Google is however constantly recalculating and factoring in the flow of link juice on a constant basis.

fyi.

In some cases, people still do spam if it is really SPAM, Where the site owners are really after the Quick Buck, there are a few here but won't want their names to be revealed

But to be in the right place and to answer your concern, people are afraid to adapt, which will kill them in the long run, I've been there last week so I really know how it feels, I don't want to give up the way I use to Drip nuke my site all the time, i still buy services that is of somehow greyhat on BST, do this & that, trying to rank but all I'm doing is to trick the rankings & a lot more

Now because of 1 person everything changes, I'm gay and my pants are wet, take a look at this epic post, this is what changed my mind and I am already on my way creating the articles now to build an authority site

I wouldn't expect someone to come out and tell you exactly what they're doing at this point.. that type of information is incredibly valuable, especially right now. However, as other WF members have said in the past, we're in a unique situation where Google is showing you what is working. Just take your favorite keyword/phrases and go look at the top ranking sites. Do some backlink analysis, look at the sources of backlinks.. are they all blogs? Do they use a particular anchor text pattern? What is the link growth? Do they link internally a lot or is primarily homepage-oriented?

And as for the 2nd question: Just because someone is selling it, doesn't mean it's effective :) In fact, I think you'll find that more often than not, the reverse is true.

People do what works. If they're still doing, obviously something has to be working.
People do what works? So you mean If I do some scrapebox blasting right now with those 90k AA list then it will work cause someone's still selling it and doing it right now? facepalm.gif

They are still doing it because that's what they "used to do or the usual habits" that they have developed before. Sooner or later they will or we will all learn how to adapt or be left in the undying campaigns of old SEO, that's it with everyone and with life, so keep husslin or Mcdonalds will give you a job

Yes spamming still works but you need to have some authority for that. And you need to do it right to work. I mean..if you buy 500 blog posts don't let the seller use his content. Buy a few 5 level sentence spin readable articles and mix them up at paragraph level. This way you will end up with a readable unique article on each post. Also, sape links work very good if you know what you are doing and it's spam at its best + rankings very fast.

Doing Grey Hat SEO is more effective than white hat. Just a combination of white and Black but do most of the white side to increase the ranking of your website naturally.
