I think networks using the hipath(name?) network as opposed to direct track allow you to post your own pixel on the advertiser's final page (post it yourself whenever via the network interface). Does anyone know any networks that allow you to do this as opposed to waiting for the affiliate manager to get in the office and find time to do it?

Just about all networks do a pixel placement of some sort (us too). My concern with the self-serve version: if an affiliate messes up their link, are they going to blame the network?
No, they only have themselves to blame. It's not that hard to paste an image URL into a text field, and if that happens, you can't blame the network as that's the same code the network would've manually placed for the affiliate. What's the worst that happens with a mis-pasted confirmation pixel? The affiliate simply doesn't get stats in another place, and no transactions are missed on the back end.

For Neverblue, the pixel isn't thrown by the Postback page, but the Global tracking code page at https://secure.neverblue.com/aff/tools_globalTrackingCode
