1. How much of PPC advertising is based on luck? Can an advanced PPC marketer make profit always even when the offers he's promoting aren't that great?

2. Do you ever make your own banners and is photoshopping skills required if you want to become a real baller?

3. What are some good sites to find quality offers to promote? I'm asking because in another thread someone mentioned clickbank.com as being a wonderful place but when I looked at the most popular offers that are advertised there they all look like scam sites or just sites I would never personally buy from.

1. PPC advertising is not luck based. Its mathematics based. Sure it requires some creativity but it seems that most people just keep on trying until they make it work or drop it and try another offer. Most people fail 9 times and succeed once.

2. You can...or you can pay someone. I am a fan of DIY as a newbie...because the last thing I want is pay $100 for a banner only to realize two weeks down the line that the offer is not working for me.

3. Most affiliate offers look like scams. If you promote them or not is a question of ethics in the end.

You want to start applying to affiliate networks to get good offers. What makes a good offer totally depends on people's experience with it.

Ok thanks wiredniko.

I did think of one question I forgot to ask:

When applying to networks what do you write in the "Your website" box if you only do PPC advertising where having your own website isn't necessary?

If you don't have a website, i'd even start a blogger.com blog and log your IM activities
you would have a higher chance of getting approved that way.
If you have some budget, I'd setup my own domain and hosting from the start though

You will need something to host your tracking program usually.

After you start you will have enough sites kind of existing from various experiments that you always have something to share.
