acai - Google Search

Not sure the scope of what you want to do, but the link above is what I used this afternoon to find out who/what/where about my competition. Can't imagine bully is going to tell you much information that's going to make you more profitable, I think his "the more the ad shows, the more profitable it is" theory is kind of flawed for all but the hottest niches.

I started using it since December, overall, it's worth it's $49/monthly charge. As BB correctly stated, use it only for keywords that have medium - a lot of competition. Basically, by using PPC Bully, I'm able to get a better idea of what is working somewhat well for those keywords. Is it sufficient enough to run a profitable campaign; No, is it a step towards running a profitable campaign, Yes. So I recommend it if you are going to be hitting competitive keywords.

BB- Ive always doubted the theory "if it has been advertised for x-days, it must be profitable. Thats about as scientific as shit ...
I was thinking about scripting something for G to do the same thing- I know others use similar tools behind the scenes..but unless you test something for yourself....

ROI- Appreciate you chiming in...$49 is chump change in this biz, so instead of coding figured Id try it for a month...If it can help find a campaign quicker than the old fashion way...bingo

disagree. if an ad is in spot 1 for 10 days, you think they're not getting clicks and not spending money?

now unless they're morons throwing away money, one would think they would be turning a profit.

not exactly science, but it seems to me that it's valuable information.

My point was that it's unlikely the time invested with a program like PPC bully would result in major profits, unless it's an Acai style niche.

To each his own Alex, but many people tweak ads and test for more than 7-10 days (I know I do). And I could be running the same ad text, but varying the bids, and lps.. I might keep the same kws for a time period after some basic testing, but I know for that time period of testing, MANY times I am not profitable...and others I have spoken with are often in the same boat. So logic dictates, at least to me, that its a pretty far extrapolation to infer blatant profitability simply because some dude left an ad up on G for 7 days. I quantcast sites all day long that run the same kw ads for a month and almost inevitably, due to many possible reasons, they drop their campaigns and or spending.

i use a tool similar to PPC bully and it runs tracking projects for up to 30 days.

for exploring long-running niches, i use the tool to help me out and give me a look into my competition, and that is valuable to me.

i definitely do not rely on the tool to dictate everything i do, but the information does indeed help me make some decisions.

in this industry, i think any sort of advantage that you can have (even if albeit small) is worth it.

I think PPC bully is not that great, I was an affiliate for it and I didn't see much potential to it and wasn't bothered promoting it. It only works on number of times an ad is shown.

I use a spy tools (my sig) which does more things, shows how many times the ads are shown, gets related keywords, looks up lp and more
