I had a question about the content network maybe one of you guys have experienced this issue well I launched one offer through one account and it's netting around 10-20k a month through the content network and search network. Well a family member of mine wanted to do the same offer, so we built the same site for the same market then tried the content network on it, but the content network is not doing anything?

We have to set our bids 50 percent higher then what we do on our other account to get the same amount of traffic from the same sites. It doesn't make any sense our other account was successful at the launch then we slowly built more keywords into the account. I'm not sure why our other content network account is performing so poorly.

I'm thinking maybe I should just bid high on the other account let it run it's course for a few weeks then maybe try to drop the bids after it builds some history up? Has any one else experienced this issue before?

Content network tends to do better and better as time goes on. Give the campaign a little time (2-3 weeks) for it to REALLY get going.

yes

You think that is what it is then? I was thinking possibly the same thing. If you don't mind me asking how long have you been using the content network for to promote products?

So your "family member" (you) basically just wants to try running your same campaign on another AdWords account to double your profits? Watch out for the slap.

Don't get greedy if you have something that is good and not slapped.

No this is actually for a family member that owns several sites on the internet. We already verified with Google and they said it was perfectly fine. I am just managing his account for hims then getting a percentage of what he spend like many other accounts we manage.

I'd make sure this "family member" wasn't using exact same ip or computer or landing pages or server ips or domain registrations EVER if I was doing anything like this. If you are using MCC to control your account and your "family member's" account it souunds like a big risk to me. I've seen competitors who were double serving and eventually one day I saw no ads. (Evidently they were banned from adwords.) Hope you got your assurances in writing (email).

We manage a lot of accounts. They are two complete different brands we actually manage client accounts in the same market. :)

As many others have said, make sure you and your family member sign up through two different addresses, and access your account from two different IP's. Otherwise you will be at big risk of being forever suspended with Google. Course you could get back on, but a lot of hassle is involved.
