I found a PPC conference in Chicago in April that promises to teach beyond the fundamentals - Pay Per Click: PPC Summit, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Conference

I'm relatively new to PPC and affiliate marketing. been through some ppc-coach, ppcclassroom and lots of blog posts to try to learn ppc. But I'm wondering if this will get me to where I want to be to be a successful affiliate marketer

I asked David Szetela, the guy who does the PPC Rockstars podcast, and he said it's a pretty worthwhile event.

Anyone been to one of these? worth the $400 and three days off my day job?

Gonna put it this way:
There is nothing at these conferences that you will learn that coldn't be learned here. The reason you go to these things, and what makes them worth the $400 plus travel and accomodation is meeting people, and the occasional freebie you get from this or that group trying to get some of your business.

If you think getting to actually know people in the industry is worthwhile, then yeah, go, it's value for money.

thanks. looking back on what I got out of conferences in my previous profession, that makes sense. Maybe I'll just save my money for ASE in August

PPC Summit strategies helped me...

I actually attended PPC Summit last year and found it to be highly educational and was able to apply the strategies directly to my PPC campaigns to make an immediate difference. Plus, the conference gives you a how-to manual that I still use as a reference guide. For me, the conference paid for itself many times over! Just my 2 cents...
