I've been hearing of a lot of automated software going around to increase bids.

I don't know if a lot of guys are in the similar situation but I seem to be getting out bid automatically on my profitable URLS.

I'll change the bid to .018 and within a minute the bid will be .019

anybody else going through this?

I've been hearing of ppv adscrapers, if anyone has one hit me up I'd be interested in demoing it or working something out with you.

Was it just one case or all the time ? Is the network DirectCPV ? They did 0.001 bid increments lately.

I'll just keep raising the bids until the guy loses money. I've been playing some bid wars on TV last year but I don't think they were automated, it's frustrating and time consuming but it was profitable.

I haven't really looked for any commercially available tools, but obviously people are using them. That's one of the biggest pains of running PPV campaigns IMO. I'd have to log in to my Media Traffic account constantly to make bid adjustments. If I were running any campaigns now I'd definitely build a tool. Hard to compete without one unless you find some golden untapped URLs.

no one will tell you about it except maybe your rep.

it's very well worth it....get a kickass coder, throw a few grand to make one. totally worth it.

I automated my own bidding on all the ppv networks with custom scripts I write for myself. I also automate going to urls and scraping the ads that popup as well. This type of thing has been going on way before the 500 a month tool though.

Yea I have some stuff in the works already and I wont be selling it. It's not worth it to sell. You shoot yourself in the foot.

Unless I get burnt out of launching 30 campaigns a day lol

Not really worth it unless your campaign is profitable for sure and you want to maintain keywords' ranks. The url scraper tool is lame.

Thats a dumb strategy on ppv. Because people dont pause their keywords, they just lower their bids to whatever works for them. So then you just get stuck with really high bids that dont ever go down.

It works on search, but not ppv.

Some dipshit is doing it with me right now and upping the bids every day. Its retarded. We could just both bid low ,be profitable, and split the traffic. But hes gotta be first until no one is profitable.

Let me tell you what happened, i was bidding on a very profitable url on TV last year for a couple of months, until some fucker came in and outbidded me, I lost my traffic, so I upped my bid to whatever he was bidding. So if he was bidding at $0.03 and I raised it to $0.03, we will be at the same position, sharing the traffic. Win-Win right?

No, this guy raised the bid to $0.05. So I raised it to $0.05. But, apparently he didn't want to share traffic and wanted to get all the traffic for himself. Then he kept raising the bids. So obviously, he was asking for a fight. It left me no choice but to play bid war against this dumbass. I have a feeling he was using some kind of automated script (not sure) which is stupid in this case.

I usually try to match the bid and split the traffic. But lately i think alot of new people are coming on that dont understand how ppv works and they always want to be no 1 at all costs.
The bids just keep going up and up. Ive been on TV for 3 years and almost all bids were in the .01 or .011 range when i started. Its getting really saturated now.

A lot of the new PPV people jumping on the bandwagon will be gone in a few months time. Most of them are the same ones that "lost" their Google or FB accounts cause they didn't know wtf they were doing. Let them spend their money now paying $10, $20, even $30+ cpm's ( yeah I know some of those URL are low traffic, you know what I'm saying ), they will be gone before you know it.

Granted, there are some real marketers that just joined up on PPV as well, but your not going to see the retarded bid increases from them most likely.

exactly, i don't know about other networks but for TV you can still get a substantial amount of traffic if you're sharing the same first position with others. in fact, i love being no.2 because the quality is always better, but that's just me.

so to the noobs reading, don't be a dick and try to outbid others if you have no clue what you're doing.

#2 and #3 have been doing really well lately. Once I start bidding for #1, I get way too much traffic and negative ROI. Thats why the automate bidding tool is kind of useless lately.
