Prosper202 - Splitting Direct Link vs Landing Page?

Anyone got a method or script to split test a lander vs direct linking the offer in Prosper202?

I thought I setup something key, but the KW ain't tracking. FFFFFFUUUUUU

I am familiar with the "offer rotator" and the "landing page rotator" scripts, but drawing a blank on how to tie the two together.

Any help appreciated kthx bye
 


You said you already know about this but you could modify it to do what you want.

Instead of each offer you want to get your tracking links from prosper and put them in there. You are asking how the hell do I get the keyword to track then? Easy, whatever your landing page rotation script's address is just add a keyword argument to the end, like www.mysite.com/rotation.php?kw=keyword_here


Then you need something to grab that out of the URL when sent to the rotation page and append it to either your landing page URL or direct link URL. So something like this should work.

Put this at the top of your file

PHP: 
$kw = $_GET['kw']; 

Then for the offers use: 

$landingpage[1] = 'landingpage1.php'.$kw;


Then finally at the bottom you want to use header("Location:".$link_here) to forward the user to your LP or Direct Link based upon which one was chosen instead of using include() like that script is doing.

Basically all you are doing is capturing the keyword with some PHP and then spitting the users out to either the direct link or the lp link that prosper has generated for you. I am sure there is a way to hack prosper202 to do this, but thinking about that just makes me sick to my stomach.

Oh yeah, in PHP every line has to end with a ";" where a function is not continued on the next line.

You have:

PHP: 
header('Location:'.$link_here)

It should be:

PHP: 
header('Location:'.$link_here);

But I haven't had a chance to test this, hopefully I will get some time later today but that should fix it man.

we can now finally track properly with prosper...
 
very helpful all - thanks. I've had the same issues and have hacked (via very kludgy setups) this for some time. Makes sense to just use the modified LP rotator script.
